Riding a manual (automatic clutch) motorcycle requires the rider to get used to shifting gears and adjusting the throttle properly. Here are some basic instructions to help you learn how to ride a manual motorcycle:

1. Prepare before getting on the bike

Check the bike: Check the brakes, lights, tires, and fuel level to ensure the bike is working properly.
Wear a helmet: You should wear a helmet on your head at all times when riding.
Adjust the mirrors: Adjust the rearview mirror to see clearly behind.

2. Get on the bike and start it

Get on the bike: Stand on the left side of the bike, hold the handlebars with your left hand, hold the rear seat or body of the bike with your right hand, then step over the bike with your right foot and sit down. Start the bike:
Pull the brake and press the starter or press the starter button if the bike has an electric starter.

3. How to shift gears Push

The gear lever: Manual bikes usually have 4 gears (1, 2, 3, 4). 1st gear is used to start and decelerate, 2nd, 3rd, 4th gear is used to accelerate. Press the gear lever down to shift from N (neutral) to 1st gear. Then, use your heel to push the gear lever up when you want to shift to a higher gear.

Appropriate gear shifting: When the vehicle reaches a speed of about 10-20 km/h, shift to 2nd gear; when reaching 20-30 km/h, shift to 3rd gear; and when reaching over 30 km/h, shift to

4. Throttle Adjustment

Grip the throttle slowly: When starting to move, turn the throttle slowly to start the vehicle smoothly.
Coordinate the throttle and gear: Always coordinate the gear shifting and throttle adjustment to keep the vehicle running smoothly. When shifting gears, reduce the throttle slightly to avoid jerking.

5. Use the brakes

Front and rear brakes: Use the front brake (right hand) and rear brake (right foot) at the same time to stop the vehicle safely.
Do not brake suddenly: Avoid braking suddenly to avoid skidding and losing control.

6. Basic driving skills

Keep balance: Sit up straight and hold the handlebars tightly to maintain balance.
Turn: Slow down, use the turn signal to signal before turning, and shift to a lower gear if necessary.
Slow down when cornering: Slow down and use a lower gear to avoid skidding when cornering.

7. Notes when stopping

Switch to neutral when stopping: When stopping for a long time, switch to neutral to avoid stalling and rolling forward.

Turn off the engine and lower the kickstand: When the bike comes to a complete stop, turn off the engine and lower the center or side stand.

8. Practice many times

Start with deserted roads to get used to shifting gears and adjusting the throttle. Once you get used to it, you can confidently move on busier roads.

9. Pay attention when participating in traffic

Obey traffic laws: Always obey traffic signs, signals and rules to ensure safety.
Riding a manual motorbike requires skill and patience, especially in coordinating gears and throttle. Practice regularly to master this skill.
